Before shipping any items, you must email photos of each piece to info@thepetitecloset.com. Include:

• Clear front, back, and close-up photos
• Visible brand & size tag (if available)
• Short note on condition (e.g., “gently worn — no stains”)

We’ll review submissions and respond within 3–5 business days with which items we’d like to receive.

Important: Consignors pay to ship items to The Petite Closet. Once your photos are approved, you may ship your accepted pieces to our address.

When packing, please:

• Package items securely and include a printed item list
• Ensure garments are clean and odor-free (launder/dry-clean as needed)
• Ship to the address provided in our approval email

We list and process items promptly upon arrival and will confirm receipt via email.

We accept clothing and accessories sized and proportioned for petite bodies (roughly 5′4″ and under) — from 00 Petite through Plus Petite. We focus on quality, timeless pieces from recognizable brands.

Accepted items must be:

• Clean, smoke & odor free
• Free of major stains, holes, excessive pilling, or broken hardware
• Gently used, like-new, or new-with-tags

We do not accept: regular/tall sizing, heavily worn or altered garments, children’s clothing, or non-fashion items.

Accepted items are listed for up to 90 days from the date they go live on our site.

At the end of the 90 days you will be contacted and offered these options:

1. Extend the listing (may include a markdown)
2. Request the item be returned to you — we cover return shipping
3. Donate the item — if you choose donation, you’ll receive a $5 store credit per donated item

If we don’t receive your instruction within 7 days of our notice, items will be automatically donated and the $5 credit applied.

Consignors receive 50% of the final sale price for each sold item. Pricing is set by The Petite Closet based on brand, condition, and market demand. The Petite Closet may apply occasional promotions or markdowns to move inventory.

Example: If your coat sells for $120, your payout is $60.

Payouts are processed within 10 business days after the buyer’s return window closes and are paid by PayPal or store credit (your choice).

If an item arrives in a condition that differs from the submitted photos or fails to meet our standards, we’ll notify you. You may choose to:

• Have the item returned (we will cover return shipping)
• Allow us to donate or responsibly recycle the item

Unclaimed declined items will be donated after 14 days.

As a thank-you for consigning with us, while your items are actively listed you receive:

• Free standard shipping on purchases from The Petite Closet
• A one-time 10% off coupon code when you sign up as a consignor

These perks remain active for the duration that you have items listed with us.

All buyer sales are final except in cases of listing error or undisclosed condition. If a buyer return is approved, any related consignor payout will be reversed.

We take care to steam, photograph, and store items securely; however, The Petite Closet is not liable for loss or damage beyond the consignor’s potential share of the item sale price.

You may end your consignment agreement at any time by emailing info@thepetitecloset.com. Unsold items will be returned (we cover return shipping) or donated as per your preference.

The Petite Closet reserves the right to update these terms from time to time. All consignments accepted after a policy update will follow the newest terms.
